Sugar Skull Decorating

Celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with a Sugar Skull Decorating Workshop at Brentwood Mall Plaza in Burnaby. This hands-on activity invites children and adults to decorate their own traditional Mexican calaveras de azúcar (sugar skulls) using icing, glitter, beads, and bright colors.
Beyond being a creative experience, sugar skulls carry deep cultural symbolism. They represent the fragility and beauty of life and are placed on ofrendas (altars) to honor and celebrate deceased loved ones during Día de los Muertos.
